What We Do
Circuit Cycle organizes community outreach events to spark change and inspire residents of West Palm Beach to take e-waste seriously. Our current initiatives include:
- Door-to-door education: We currently are working in select neighborhoods to educate residents on the dangers of e-waste and offer to collect unwanted electronics for recycling, along with promoting our petition to advocate for accessibility of recycling.
- Pop-up event: We are hosting a public event where residents can drop off their e-waste in exchange for small rewards like baked goods or Circuit Cycle merch in order to encourage engagement all while learning about proper disposal methods.
We also have ongoing efforts to raise awareness through social media campaigns and community partnerships, furthering our mission and building momentum for change.
Our Financial Backing
Circuit Cycle is proud to be supported by a grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies as part of the Youth Climate Action Fund via the city of West Palm Beach, which has provided us with the financial resources to launch our initiatives. We operate on an allocated budget, reallocating our funds to community events, marketing, and daily operations, and ensuring that every dollar spent goes towards promoting our mission and fostering change.
Our Future
Looking ahead, we aim to continue expanding our efforts in West Palm Beach and the wider South Florida area while we continue exploring opportunities to advocate for more convenient and sustainable e-waste disposal methods within the city. We hope to raise awareness on a larger scale through additional campaigns, partnerships, and advocacy for policy changes in the ease and accessibility of waste management.
